I used to skip promoting my newsletter because rewriting posts felt like work
For a long time, my process looked like this:
I would write the newsletter.
I would plan to promote it on X or LinkedIn.
I would skip it because rewriting everything felt like too much effort.
The newsletter itself was solid, but growth was slow.
What changed for me was realizing that the newsletter is already finished thinking.
It does not need to be rewritten.
It needs to be repurposed.
Now my workflow is simple:
I write one newsletter like I normally would.
I turn it into a few short X posts using the main ideas and hooks.
I turn one idea into a couple longer LinkedIn posts.
Each post points back to the newsletter.
Same content.
Different formats.
Much less friction.
This helped me stay consistent on social without burning out.
It also made social a real source of subscribers instead of something optional.
Curious how others here handle this.
Do you manually repurpose your newsletter for social, or do you mostly rely on the newsletter itself to grow?
Happy to share details if useful.
