As I was going through digglist I found so many communities I wanted to be a part of but I noticed 2 patterns: Founders doing all the posts themselves Founders seemingly giving up days ago I’m in category 1, putting a lot into /sidehustle and /money to set the community tone
Let's say that I start the community "muscle-cars". I personally love Ford and hate Chevy, so I delete any post about Chevy.Or lets say that the owner of the NFL community hates the Chargers, so they delete all chargers posts. This is already the situation with the political meme
I'd put a banner at the top of the page that says "This is the beta", a link to a mission statement or something, a link to a changelog/roadmap, a link to FAQ's. ~60px, goes away when you scroll, dismissable. Would cut down on a lot of (understandable) repeat questions/complain
I love the fact that you let us now create our own communities but the two community limit is quite punishing. Most people can think of more than two communities that belong here, but additionally, just because somebody thinks of a community, doesn't mean they want to run them or
Does anyone have a fix for iOS constantly killing background apps? I just lost an entire post on Digg after switching apps for only a few minutes. I had typed quite a few sentences already but came back to the app refreshing itself and my entire progress wiped without a way to
In the app, there are three dots on a user's profile to report them or block them. Unless I'm missing something, this is not available on the web version. I'm using a Mac Mini with Opera browser.
I’ve been watching Digg’s reboot with interest and I’m curious to see how creator communities and topic hubs evolve this time around. Feels like early days again.
I have ZERO interest in the political content on digg. but I would also like to explore the communities on digg. If I could see particularly active communities without having to scroll through political discourse that would be very appreciated.
Bit of unexpected behavior... in the /politics post, I made the "Truth Social" comment, then went to a post in /dankmemes and made the "1960s" comment there. I think I then hit the browser back button and it brought me back to the Politics post, but both comments were present un
What’s going on. I think I got automod removed from an art community I started. No commerce. Linked out to two yearly roundup news articles. What am I doing wrong? https://digg.com/public-art/D7o1ncr
I can see in my profile my Dugg count. But there doesn't appear to be a way to access what they are. Is this correct?
By hot-topics in my opinion are topics that provoke emotions. For example, there has been posts regarding, Sir Alex, the veteran and nurse who was executed by ICE. These post are much needed in spreading awareness of the horrific crimes committed by ICE. It seems like the idiots
For Digg communities such as News, it would be awesome if there was a “live update” for the OP and Admin / Overlords to keep new bits of information coming in. Example, what’s going on in MN. When you read the comments - it’s very old data. Just to keep things flowing it woul
Preferably, the option to block. Otherwise, it'll be like reddit or twitter where I'm seeing things in my "for you" page that I don't care about. Thoughts?
Is the option to create a community blocked? I just create this account to see how Digg works but it seems like I can't create a community. Any particular reason why this is happening to me? Thanks.
Why is Google picking up my Digg posts? I don’t recall that happening with my posts on twitter or other sites. To be clear, I’m not opposed to it, just confused by it. And, yes, I’ve created Google alerts for myself and maybe you should too
I've lost the daily Digg podcast--or possibly it's not out on the weekends?
I didn't even know what they were until I opened the app up.
hey everyone! I recently made a community about sharing and creating open-source ai tools but I am having some difficulty in growing although of course I’m still going to push hard. I don’t want to be going to random digs annoying people and being like please please join lol so
I haven't been active for a few weeks, but since coming back, I've already spotted a few blatantly obvious content farmers. It’s honestly worrying for the future of the site.
I have been blocked from starting a community for rational debate several times now. The rising discourse is leaning heavily to the left. Digg is pretty much just Reddit Jr. and isn't worth the effort. Don't waste your energy if you are looking to build bridges between people.
If you didn’t know Digg has extensions (pictured), but I’ve heard @kevinrose talk about community founders being able to build their own. For /money I’d have a ‘best of last week’, ‘best of last month’ expandable summary, aggregating snippets of prior posts to catch up and li
