What does it mean to be "toned"?
For my first post on this community, I want to talk about one of my biggest pet peeves!
Here in the year of our lord 2026, I am still chatting with ladies who say they want to be "toned". In fact, my own husband said it the other day (I told him he was getting too skinny).
It's OK if you want to be toned, but understand that nothing will get you where you want to be without the following: losing fat, and growing muscle.
I understand that we can be scared of getting "bulky", hell I'm scared of it myself (I've got pretty big traps for a girl lol). What I do is back off exercises that work those muscles for a time which does suck to have to do.
I don't know what do you guys think, is it a myth? Or maybe I'm wrong, and yoga does create a different body than weightlifting.
