When you can't talk about Splash Mountain on Reddit, come to Digg!

Redoing Splash Mountain into Tiana Mountain was one of the biggest mistakes in Disney World history. Tony Baxter and his team took a simple concept like a log flume and turned it into the pinnacle of theme park storytelling.

Tiana's storyline is a mess, and the animatronics are already in rough shape. Since no one is allowed to be scared by a ride anymore, they missed a huge opportunity to have Dr. Facilier taunt riders on the final lift hill.

Disney World has the blessing of size, but apparently it's wiser to take a fan favorite attraction still packin' them in and make it into a worse ride for political reasons. It didn't do justice to Splash and it didn't do justice to Tiana, who deserved a better ride.

It's a terrible situation all around, and locking threads won't make people forget.
