Police search for suspect after fires set at University of Toronto downtown campus

Police are searching for 42-year-old Yuriy Khraplyvyy, who is wanted for setting fires at the University of Toronto’s downtown campus on January 15, 2026. The suspect allegedly entered several buildings on the St. George campus and damaged property through arson. No injuries were reported. Khraplyvyy is described as having short dark hair, being clean-shaven, and was last seen wearing a dark sweater, light grey pants, and sunglasses.
