TLDR

An exploration of building a macOS app, Context, almost entirely using AI coding tools like Claude Code, highlighting the potential and limitations of AI in software development.

I've been interested in vibe coding for a while now, as someone with a design background but who likes making stuff - it seems like the perfect way to experiment with software. The question does remain how it will affect the job market. I wouldn't want all the design work to be taken up by AI. Anyone here who's an engineer has thoughts on apps built purely by AI? Would love to discuss more. I understand that you still need to know what you're doing to vibe code. But it's only a matter of time when AI is good enough to understand the intention behind the prompt.
