I recently noticed shorturl.fit , which does only one thing: paste a link and get a short URL, no signup, no cost. It made me wonder—do most people actually need analytics and dashboards, or is simple, free link shortening enough?

Long URLs are still common, even though they’re harder to read and share. Short URLs fix that—but many tools now require accounts or paid plans just to do something basic.
