OpenAI has informed its investors and banking partners that it anticipates Elon Musk to make 'deliberately outlandish' claims as his lawsuit against the AI lab approaches trial in April. The company sent a letter to preempt and alleviate concerns, expressing confidence in its strong defenses and chances of winning the case. Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, filed a lawsuit in 2024 alleging manipulation and deception by the company after it explored converting to a for-profit entity and formed partnerships, including with Microsoft.
