The Digital Homestead of Thomas E Havorford
Here is a personal website that I believe is newer but has that old web aesthetic. Right off that bat, you are greeted with a flying thru space background, an Energy Star logo, and a giant .gif of Clippy. There are some writings on personal website creation, math, and Linux. Something that caught my eye was the old school .jpg and .gif buttons on the site. One of them takes you to a video page with a lot of videos using an open source, decentralized, video host called Peertube. Overall, the site embodies the taking back of the digital space for personal interests. I couldn't find any information as to when the website was first created, just that it was created before the 1st of the year and had some sort of rollback update sometime already this year. Some of the videos are more than 5 years old but doesn't necessarily correlate to when the website was first created.
