A Love Letter To The Personal Website
Congrats to us for passing 200 members!!!
The first few days since we opened for the public beta of Digg has gotten me asking myself what used to be so fun about the internet? What am I experiencing now in Digg that I haven’t in for so long?
That reminded me of this author’s blog post I came across last year. She does an exceptional job at detailing everything I’ve lived through and loved about the early days of the internet.
If you have some time, I HIGHLY recommend reading it. It’s highly relevant to the old web, and so worth checking out.
This blog post encourages readers to build their own personal website, emphasizing the importance of creating a unique online presence. It discusses the loss of individuality in web design due to corporate influence and the rise of AI-generated content. The post highlights the benefits of owning your own website, such as having control over your content and being able to experiment freely.
