This is how I'm handling phone + data when moving countries frequently and this might be the only place out there that just works! Crazy, but I get global tier-1 data, calling, and sms for $4.99/month with DialAnyone!
I’ve got enough things to think about while moving around (work setups, time zones, VPNs, bank auth, travel logistics), so phone connectivity was the last thing I wanted to micromanage.
I used to juggle local SIMs + eSIMs + roaming fallbacks, and it was always something breaking... OTPs not coming through, data getting throttled, random roaming charges.
What really annoys me isn’t even cost... it’s unpredictability. Roaming fees that don’t show up until later. “Unlimited” plans that quietly throttle. Numbers that work for calls but not SMS, or vice versa. Support that blames “local carriers” like it’s an act of God. If AWS behaved like telecom, nobody would use it.
I switched to DialAnyone and basically stopped thinking about it. One setup that gives me global data plus calling and texting, and it just works across borders. No SIM swapping, no “this plan only works in X country,” no roaming mode anxiety. It's crazy they provide plans for $4.99 which includes global data, global calling, and global texting!!
It’s not flashy... it’s just infrastructure that behaves the way telecom should in 2026. I pay a flat monthly fee and move on with my life.
Not shilling, just sharing because this solved a real nomad problem for me.
