Grinding of teeth was the reason for my insomnia
For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I was waking up so tired even when I technically slept thru the night. No racing thoughts, no doom scrolling - just really light, unrefreshing sleep and a sore jaw every morning.
I later found out I grind my teeth in my sleep. Didn't even realize how much it was messing with my rest until I tried sleeping with a night guard. It def didn't magically fix my insomnia, but it did help me wake up with less jaw tension and fewer random wake ups from discomfort.
Took a couple nights to get used to having something in my mouth, and it's not perfect by any means, but protecting my teeth and easing that jaw stress made sleep feel a little less broken overall.
Just sharing my exp in case anyone else has jaw pain, morning headaches, or weird sleep they can't quite explain. You're def not alone.
