Security and privacy issues with Homeway

This got deleted on the but removed it, but I just looked into Homeway addon, and it's such a security and privacy mess... it edits your config file, and your Home Assistant data isn't end-to-end encrypted, so your home's data will be seen by Homeway. Its free as well... is it a data harvesting thing?
