Your experience so far?
Hey all,
I’m curious to hear how others are finding Digg since the public launch. From my side, both of the communities I’ve started are struggling to gain traction — I’ll take my share of responsibility for that, but they were always going to be niche spaces with a specific audience.
On the brighter side, I’ve found a handful of really interesting, smaller communities with surprisingly deep and engaging conversations. It’s refreshing to see that kind of interaction when the user base is still fairly tight-knit.
That said, I’ll admit I’m a bit disappointed with how quickly things have turned political. I understand that’s the dominant topic everywhere right now — and it’s an important one — but some of the tone and hostility feels deflating. I’d hoped this could be a place for slightly more nuanced, thoughtful debate.
So, I’m keen to know your take:
• How are your own experiences so far?
• Is Digg shaping up the way you hoped?
• Do you see yourself sticking around long-term?
As for me, I’ll give it more time to develop, but honestly, I’m starting to wonder if social media might have run its course for me. 😞
