Disney lawyers stopped Star Wars KOTOR II DLC from hitting the Switch, but a full remake was discussed
The DLC plans were a bit of a mess, as recent reporting uncovers.
When Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was revealed for the Nintendo Switch in 2022, fans were excited about the promised Restored Content DLC, a popular fan-made mod. However, legal complications with Disney and Lucasfilm over securing rights from all contributors prevented the DLC from being released. Instead, Aspyr offered game codes as compensation. Meanwhile, internal documents suggest a full remake of KOTOR II, codenamed 'Juliet', was being considered.
