Indie studio Software Verde has announced the release date for Mordfield Command, a survival-driven 4X strategy game where humanity battles a controlling AI. The studio’s debut title launches on October 23, 2025 on Steam, accompanied by a new trailer showcasing the high-stakes struggle against Algorithm Alpha. Mordfield Command combines 4X strategy, turn-based combat, and wave-defense gameplay. Players build fortified bases, manage scarce resources, expand via upgrades and satellite cities, and adapt tactics as the enemy grows stronger. The game features an action point economy, procedural maps, optional timed turns, an in-game custom map editor, evolving terrain, and both PvP and co-op modes.
