Nintendo's financial results reveal Switch 2 hits 10 million units sold
In a little under five months, the hybrid sequel has hit a sales milestone.
Nintendo's financial results for the first half of FY26 show a significant 110% increase in net sales to ¥1,099.5 billion, driven by the Switch 2's 10.36 million units sold. The company raised its sales forecast for the Switch 2 to 19 million units. Despite the growth, Nintendo's gross profit margin dropped from 60.8% to 36.2% due to lower profit margins on the Switch 2 and other cost pressures. Video game activity accounts for 97% of Nintendo's income, with the Switch 2 and Switch games leading sales, including Mario Kart World with 9.57 million units sold.
