I like using AI and taking on a role of story director more than writing my own fiction

I'm a big user of ChatGPT and other models in my day to day life and I've always been a fan of creative writing and fan fiction. However, lately, I've been using AI to create fanfic or my own fiction but providing more of a CEO level view of the story and letting AI taking on more of the responsibility of the nitty gritty details.

Wondering am I along in this or does anyone else enjoy this - for me, the joy I have in this story creation is equal to if not more so than writing my own stories.

My normal prompt is to generate 1000-1500 words. Often I'll provide revision feedback and have used AI to write 10+ chapters. Also interested to see what models you all have been fans of? I personally preferred Grok over ChatGPT.
