@mentions and Rich Text Editing Are Now Live on Digg
Hello, friends đź‘‹
Today, we’re rollin’ out two new features: @mentions and Rich Text Formatting.
@mentions
Whether you’re responding in a thread, kicking off a post, or giving someone a well-deserved shoutout, just hit @ and start typing their username. They’ll get notified, and you’ll get that little rush of satisfaction that comes with pullin’ a buddy into the conversation.
Rich Text Formatting
Posts and comments now support bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, and inline links. They also get lists, for when you need to make a point (or several). These tools make it easier to emphasize what matters, create more engaging posts, or just add a bit of razzle dazzle when plain text isn’t cutting it. Text so rich, Ted Lasso can’t use it. You now have 10,000 characters to work with too.
Watch It In Action
Check out the video as breaks down the new features, how to use them, and why Digg just got a whole lot smoother. Almost as smooth as Mau.
We want to give you tools to create more original content and spark deeper conversations. These updates are a step in that direction and one of many ways we'd like to enable you to express yourself on Digg.
Both features are live on desktop and iOS, and the Android update should be approved shortly!
Now go tag your friends, flex some formatting, and make something beautiful or weird. Both are equally welcome here.
Digg has introduced two significant updates in its private beta: rich text editing and user tagging, enhancing the user experience with more personal, visual, and conversational posts. These features, now live on desktop and soon on mobile, allow users to write longer posts, format text, add images and links, and tag others directly in their stories. Existing beta users can start using these tools immediately, while others can join the waitlist at https://digg.com as the platform expands.
