Graphic novel sales rose 9.2% in 2025

Although overall book sales were essentially flat in 2025, graphic novel sales rebounded with a 9.2% increase in sales. Adult graphic novel sales rose 9.2% in 2025, with 25.9 million units sold. The rebound follows two years of declining sales. Manga had a strong year, and the best-selling books included Wimpy Kid Party Pooper and two Dog Man books. Children’s fiction saw a 1.6% rise in unit sales, while YA fiction titles were down 1.8%.
