new to Digg; hi!

My wife and I are about to move to Richmond, VA and go carless. We will be all bicycle or bus. I guess we will look for a couple of used bikes with hopefully rear derailleur only, disc brakes, flat handlebars, panniers and fenders, lights and bell. I think I will buy some of that rust-effect spray paint to make them look as gnarly as possible and get some boss locks - you can afford to throw some money at it when it is saving the cost of a car . . .
