Drivers warned to be vigilant as school zones return early
NSW news: Drivers warned to be vigilant as school zones return early on January 27. Drivers in New South Wales will need to adhere to the 40km/h speed limits in school zones from tomorrow, a week before students formally return from the Christmas and New Year break. School zones in NSW generally apply from 8 to 9.30am and from 2.30 to 4pm on weekdays. Drivers caught speeding above 40km/h in these zones face fines of up to $3242 and seven demerit points.
School zones will be enforced early in NSW ahead of students returning to class next week, motorists have been warned.
