Bk Rvw: Stealing by Margaret Verbel

Could hardly put this book down - it ate up most of my Sunday. Main character is beyond endearing and the way Verbel captures her voice never wavers. Pacing is absolutely ideal. There is something about the age of the character and the ultimate sense of hopefulness (despite horrible circumstances) that gives a sense of YA. Writing is beautiful. I can certainly see why people make comps to To Kill A Mockingbird. 95% recommend TW: childhood sexual abuse
