Chairperson Marlaina will not tolerate dissent.
An Alberta school division is investigating a classroom incident after the province's premier shared an audio recording on social media, allegedly of a teacher making disparaging comments about the province's conservative political culture. The recording includes references to profane anti-Trudeau stickers and NDP lawn signs. Premier Danielle Smith expressed disappointment and emphasized the importance of political neutrality in classrooms. Elk Island Catholic Schools, which oversees the school in question, stated that the conduct in the recording does not align with their values and has launched an internal investigation.
