Mount Pleasant eateries welcome 3 a.m. last call | Georgia Straight Vancouver’s source for arts, culture, and events
Mount Pleasant eateries, under the leadership of David Duprey of the Narrow Group, are set to benefit from the city council's approval of extended late-night hours, allowing venues outside downtown to stay open until 3 a.m. on weekends. Duprey, who has a history of navigating regulatory challenges, sees this change as a positive step towards easing liquor laws, though he acknowledges it may not benefit all businesses equally. Uncle Abe’s, one of Duprey’s establishments, is preparing for its first 3 a.m. closing night with a launch party on January 23.
