What brought you to Texas (or what do you like if you were born here)?

I'm just curious, what brought you all to Texas? For me, it was just a state I wanted to be in towards the end of 2020 with all the crazy stuff going on there, plus I was out of a job due to COVID and all my family had moved down here around that time as well along with more opportunities, lower taxes, less regulations, better infrastructure, etc. Loving this state much better than where I came from.

But I want to hear what brought everyone here and what everyone who was born here likes about the state!
