Google flexes another AI advantage: your data
A new feature highlights one of the company’s great advantages in the future of AI assistants like smart glasses — Google already has all your data.
Google has announced the public rollout of a beta Gemini feature called Personal Intelligence, which gives Gemini access to users' Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Google Search data if they grant permission. This feature allows Gemini to offer more relevant help for tasks such as planning a trip or getting car repair advice, as it can access users' personal data. Google claims that Personal Intelligence does not use users' data to train its models and ensures data protection. Google's access to personal data gives it a significant advantage in the future of AI assistants, particularly in smart glasses, over competitors like Amazon and Apple.
