I have a science question and I thought this might be a good place to ask. It's about making sodium citrate from scratch. Unrelated phto explained in comments.
First up, I couldn't figure out a way to do a text post so you get a picture of the aftermatch of my trip home Last Christmas (I gave you my heart), which is now playing in your head you are welcome. Here's the question.
I don't have any NaCHO on hand so I decided to make it. I know I need one part baking soda and 3 parts citric acid combined with a bit of water to get them to play along and to shed some of that CO2. My question is how much of each should I use to get an equivalent amount to one teaspoon of the granulated stuff? I'm really hoping it isn't a simple "quarter tsp of soda and three quarters citric you knob" but we'll see. Always good to ask. Thank you and good luck out there.
