Nuclear energy development focus of MOU with United Arab Emirates - SaskToday.ca

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) and the Global Institute for Energy, Minerals and Society Inc (GIEMS) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) to collaborate on a nuclear energy program in the UAE. The program will focus on small modular reactors, microreactors, nuclear plant efficiency, reliability, waste management, technology transfer, and the application of AI and robotics. The partnership leverages Saskatchewan's uranium resources, skilled workforce, and expertise in nuclear innovation, aiming to advance technologies that benefit both regions.
