Zima 2026 daje w kość. Ale bywało mroźniej. Artykuł o zimie 78/79. Nawet -30 stopni, ponad metr śniegu.
Just before the end of 1978, Poland was hit by an arctic wave of frosts preceded by snowstorms of a real event. In just a few hours, everything was buried, sometimes over a meter deep, even at over minus 20 degrees. This exceptionally cold and snowy winter at the turn of 1978 and 1979 is still referred to as the 'winter of the century'. However, contrary to popular belief, severe weather conditions did not prevail for several months, but only a week. It was a simultaneous strike of arctic air and heavy snowfall.
