Smartfony ograniczają zainteresowanie uczniów nauką
Nieedukacyjna obecność smartfonów i innych urządzeń ekranowych w domu i w szkole istotnie obniża koncentrację i zainteresowanie uczniów nauką – wynika z ogólnopolskiego badania przeprowadzonego wśród niemal tysiąca uczniów, ich nauczycieli i rodziców.
A recent study conducted by the Institute of Psychology at the Higher Vocational School in collaboration with the Bonum Humanum Foundation reveals that the non-educational presence of smartphones, computers, and televisions in the environment of children and youth significantly reduces their interest in learning, disrupts concentration, and educational rhythm. The research, led by Dr. Mariusz Jędrzejko, indicates that over 74% of primary school students and 95% of high school students have their smartphones or computers on during homework, even when these devices are not used for educational purposes. The study also highlights that a significant percentage of students use their smartphones for non-educational purposes during lessons, primarily for communication and social media, which are identified as the main factors disrupting the educational rhythm. The authors emphasize the need for intensified media education for parents and students, as well as the introduction of clear rules regarding the presence of smartphones in schools to prevent the negative impact on educational outcomes, mental health, and the future professional and social prospects of the younger generation.
