Hundreds of clergy descend on Minneapolis and go on lookout for ICE

Hundreds of clergy from various religious traditions descended on Minneapolis to observe and document the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, particularly in neighborhoods with significant immigrant populations. They aimed to provide a visible religious presence and support to counter the president’s mass deportation campaign. The clergy sang hymns, confronted ICE agents, and livestreamed encounters on social media. They expressed concerns about the potential for ICE to detain U.S. citizens and highlighted the importance of faith-based resistance against ICE.
