Do these work at all as B&W?

This was before sunrise on a very cloudy day so light was definitely tripping me up a bit. All the colors looked horribly dull so I made these B&W which I don’t often do.

Also, I tried to bring down the exposure a bit to make it a bit more dramatic but now I’m thinking the clouds look weird. Any tips or tricks for this situation?
