More than 60 Henri Matisse artworks donated to Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris

The Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris has received a donation of 61 Henri Matisse artworks, featuring his daughter Marguerite, from Barbara Dauphin Duthuit. The donation, described as exceptional and historic, includes paintings, drawings, etchings, lithographs, and a sculpture. Most of the works had been loaned to the museum for a previous exhibition, but the decision to donate them was a surprise. The pieces will join the 20 Matisse artworks already held by the museum.
