The Harpy Eagle: A literal modern-day dinosaur with talons larger than a Grizzly Bear's
Their rear talons can grow up to 5 inches long—larger than the claws of a Grizzly Bear. They exert several hundred pounds of pressure per square inch, allowing them to snatch sloths and monkeys directly from the treetops. With their intense, humanoid stare and prehistoric appearance, it’s easy to see why they were named after the half-woman, half-bird monsters of Greek mythology.
