Sting pays Police bandmates Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland more than £500,000 in royalties
Sting has paid his former Police bandmates, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, over £500,000 in royalties after acknowledging an underpayment. The musicians sued Sting and his publishing company, claiming they were owed between £1.5m and £8m for songs like Roxanne and Every Breath You Take. The bandmates argue they entered an oral agreement in 1977 to share income, which was later formalized in written contracts.
This feels like they got ripped off tbh
