The Eye of Sahara

The Eye of Sahara, also known as the Richat Structure, is a geological dome in Mauritania with concentric rings. Initially thought to be an impact crater, it is now understood to be an uplifted dome with varying erosion rates leading to circular ridges. Astronauts aboard the ISS captured detailed images of this structure, revealing different rock types and dune fields surrounding it.
