Defence ministry to seek CCS approval to build 6 submarines under Project 75| India News
The Indian defence ministry plans to seek Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approval for the construction of six air-independent propulsion (AIP) submarines under Project 75, in collaboration with Germany’s ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS). Estimated at $8 billion, the project aims to counter Pakistan's acquisition of eight Yuan-class AIP-equipped diesel attack submarines from China.
