‘Heat 2’: Christian Bale Circling Role in Michael Mann’s Long-Awaited Sequel
Christian Bale is reportedly in talks to join Michael Mann's 'Heat 2,' the highly anticipated sequel to the 1995 crime drama starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. If the deal goes through, Bale could reunite with Mann, with whom he previously worked on 'Public Enemies,' and potentially star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Production is slated to begin in 2026, with Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists backing the film, which received $37.2 million in tax credits from the California Film Commission. The plot remains undisclosed, though Mann adapted the screenplay from a novel he co-wrote with Meg Gardiner. 'Heat' celebrated its 30th anniversary in December and was a box office success, grossing $187 million globally.
