Car salesman often have monthly quotas and volume-based bonuses. As the month closes, they’re more likely to discount or push harder to close deals to hit their numbers. This is especially true at dealerships where pay is tied to quantity sold, not just margin. You’re more likely to get flexibility on price or add-ons when they’re trying to squeeze in one more sale during the last couple of days of the month
