Notifications don't take me to the post?

Say I comment on this post. You then respond to me. Little bell in the top right alerts me 'johndoe' responded. I click it and it just takes me to the top of the thread and that's it. Shouldn't it direct me to the response to my comment? Least that's what I think it should do. Am i doing something wrong?
