Request: Carry Over Text When Switching Post Type

I just typed out a new post, but didn't realize I had "Link" selected so it would not let me post without a URL. I then, foolishly, clicked the "Text" post type and it cleared all my typed post, even when I flipped back to 'Link" it was gone. I would like to make a request/suggestion, that when flipping between "Link/Image/Text" that the info inputted from "Title" & "Body" carry over and aren't purged.
