If you have 1000 communities and 1000 users...
Obviously, it's the first day, but I'm wondering if the floodgates should've been opened in stages. I guess we'll see as the days go on, but my expectation is that we'll see a lot of communities with one or two posts by the founder and then nothing else, perhaps for a while.
I assume this is already happening, but new users should be encouraged to pick a few communities (there are SO MANY to choose from now) and to make a few posts, to help fill everything out. Lurking does not help a growing platform. There probably does also need to be a plan for shuttering/deleting new communities that never go anywhere after a certain time period, so they're not clogging up the selection windows/lists and making it almost impossible for new users to wade through (I'm sure the devs already have a plan for dealing with duplicates).
Anyway, a big day! Congrats to Kevin, Alex, Justin, Forest, and all the rest of y'all that made it happen. Looking forward to watching where this goes.
