Peña Boulevard Expansion
Denver International Airport is seeking public input as it moves forward with the redesign of Peña Boulevard, the main gateway to the airport. The road, which was projected to serve up to 50 million annual passengers when the airport opened in 1995, now struggles with congestion and safety issues, particularly in the stretch between 56th to 40th Avenue. The airport is hosting a virtual open house as part of the National Environmental Policy Act process to gather feedback on potential improvements, including better access for Green Valley Ranch residents, more transit options, and a second airport entrance. Airport officials plan to continue community outreach and aim to identify the best solution for Peña Boulevard by the end of the year.
How many more lanes can we add? Let’s max it out 🙃
