Self-hosted Recommendation on Software(s)
Looking to make your Gaming PC available to play remotely/outside the home? There's a lot of well-known software solutions, including Parsec, Sunshine, Apollo, Games on Whales, etc. Personally, I'd recommend the following in this order:
A fork of Sunshine, by well-known and respected Nonary. Includes QoL improvements such as: Windows Graphics Capture for frame-generated titles, virtual display management, and deep integration with tools like Playnite and RTSS. Vibepollo is a fork of Apollo that does the same (I would recommend Vibeshine unless you have special need cases). This also supports game streaming from a web browser via WebRTC.
If using with an Android Client, I would recommend Artemis.
Steam Remote Play
Options 1-3 are compatible with Moonlight as the client to stream to.
Game on Whales is good if you're looking for running a gaming server that supports multiple simultaneous users. Game on Whales uses its server software (Wolf) running in Docker to create multiple Linux instances to game on.
Want native USB device support on your PC or Virtual Machine in the cloud? I'd recommend VirtualHere, although its a bit pricey. I use VirtualHere to connect my USB devices to my gaming PC as if local, such as my DualSense Edge Controller, Gamign headset and microphone, etc.
