Guardians reach deal with Kwan to avoid arbitration
The Cleveland Guardians have reached a one-year deal with All-Star left fielder Steven Kwan for 2026, worth $7.725 million, avoiding arbitration. Kwan, who earned $4.175 million in 2025, is under club control through 2027. He was a steady player for the Guardians, winning his fourth consecutive AL Gold Glove Award and earning his second consecutive All-Star nod. Kwan recorded a 3.7 WAR and hit .272/.330/.374 over 156 games in 2025.
