1 week in to the new /Canada (as in, not reddit's Canada community)
Not digging it so far tbh. /Canada is being spammed like fucking crazy by a few users. Rather than submitting interesting content for other Canadians to read and discuss, it's a race to see who can submit as many political news articles as possible without sharing comments or their own opinions (about stuff they allegedly just read). Lots of the posts are about the US/Greenland and Canada isn't even mentioned. Was hoping for something a little different than reddit but I guess we're kind of destined to be a copy-cat. Sucks but it is what it is.
That said, if you block the users doing it, this place is much better looking. I know this site is in beta and I know there aren't many moderation tools yet. It'll come.
The 'top' user has submitted 57 posts to /Canada, in 7 days. That's 8+ posts every day. #2 is 50, so 7 posts every day. What are they trying to do?
Anywho, rant over. I'm probably in the minority but idc :Þ
