Clean Browsing on iOS
On iOS, I use Safari with Firefox Focus as a content blocker. It strips out most ads and trackers, speeds up page loading, and keeps sites looking cleaner.
Setup
Download Firefox Focus from the App Store
Open it, go to its settings, scroll toward the bottom and enable Safari Integration
Open any webpage in Safari, tap in the address bar to show the page content settings icon (a rectangle with two horizontal lines), tap it, select Manage Extensions, ensure Firefox Focus is enabled
Sometimes a site won’t load properly or blocks you outright when it detects a content blocker. Safari makes it simple to handle this:
Tap the content settings icon (I don’t know if that’s the actual name of that icon or not?)
Select Turn Off Content Blockers
This setting only affects the current site. You get access without compromising your blocking elsewhere.
I’m not sure if this works on Android or not.
