Point-in-Time Count to take place next week

The East­ern Sierra Con­tinuum of Care will con­duct the 2026 Point-inTime Count from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 across Alpine, Inyo and Mono counties.

The Point-in-Time Count iden­ti­fies indi­vidu­als and fam­il­ies exper­i­en­cing home­less­ness and helps guide plan­ning and sup­port to fund out­reach and hous­ing resources. Inyo County employ­ees, part­ner agen­cies and com­munity volun­teers will con­duct brief sur­veys dur­ing the count, which is required every Janu­ary by the U.S. Depart­ment of Hous­ing and Urban Devel­op­ment.
