About two or three years ago, I stumbled across this video of him playing “Dust in a Baggy.” As far as I can tell, this was his first YouTube upload of that song, and it’s where I found him

That was it! and just the beginning for me.

He’s been blowing my mind ever since. Three years, maybe longer at this point, and I still have to get a Billy Strings fix at least once a week.

Who knew you could combine bluegrass with full-on jam band energy like that? It’s like he moved a Phish concert into Tennessee and just never left. The musicianship, the speed, the feel, the improvisation… it all hits.
